We hope you won’t need to return any boxes, but if you do, we aim to make things as simple and straightforward as possible.

You can return items up to 14 days after you have received them. Please contact us at and we will send you a prepaid postage label. Please ensure items are securely packaged and the label is properly affixed to the parcel. Please then post the parcel which will be directed to our trading address at 21 Ballymoyer Road, Newtownhamilton, Newry Co Down BT35 0AJ.

Once we receive the items we will issue you with a refund. Please note that we cannot refund items which are personalised, or personal care products which have been unsealed (for hygiene reasons), or where products have been clearly used.

Hi there, I'm Ruth!

I grew up in Armagh, Northern Ireland, and went on to study History at Cambridge (a big adventure back in ye olden days!). Since then, life has taken me on quite a journey: I became an accountant, helped dozens of companies and charities grow, and eventually made my way back to Ireland… taking the scenic route, of course.

Along the way, I’ve discovered something important: transitions — those big life changes — matter just as much for families as they do for the young people experiencing them. As a godmother and now a mum, I’ve watched our new students grow up and take their first steps into university, full of excitement and, naturally, a few nerves.

That’s why I created The Student Gift Box. My goal is simple: to help families launch their students with love. Each box combines practical support with thoughtful treats, designed to lift spirits, spark confidence, and keep your connection strong — even when you’re miles apart.
